Another question I used "teu" for "your" I know this can also be "sua".
But "sua" is linked to "você" which seems to be more Brazilian Portuguese?
My Portuguese ex-namorada told me Portuguese Portuguese doesn't use "você"?
But if I would visit a SAAB meeting in PORTUGAL and I want to ask "Is that your car?" I should say: "Ésta seu carro?"?
It's difficult to explain in English as there is no polite form for "you" and "your" in English.
I just noticed your from Guimarães. I've been to Guimarães ;D
I walked on the walls of the castle, hardly one metre wide, slippery moss, no railing, 3 metres down.
In The Netherlands access to such a site would be higly prohibited. In PORTUGAL it's apparently OK to fall 3 metres down. Lol
Hm I think I understand your nickname castelar. You live in the castle?
TesZero, eu pensei no aréa da Figueira da Foz (Buarcos, Quiaios)
Preciso a água perto de mim ;)
Eu sou originalmente da provinçia da Zelândia (http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zel%C3%A2ndia_%28Pa%C3%ADses_Baixos%29) (= Pais do Mar). Mais correto: Das Flandres Zelandês (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeeuws_Vlaanderen) (Não, não fica na Bélgica :P)
I know about the crisis in PORTUGAL, so are The Netherlands.
Ok for you it's worse and I hope you can handle sarcasm, it's not really the Dutch government helping PORTUGAL, Greece, ireland and Spain, it's the citizens, the government just knocks the money out of their citizen's pockets by increasing taxes and decreasing allowances. Sounds familiar, doesnt it? lol
So we have a joke when the government needs more money from us, we say
I will emigrate to PORTUGAL, my money is already there (in the original joke it was Greece, but I adapted it to the situation ;) )
A manha, a manha ;D
A vida neerlandês é como isso: rápido, rápido!!! :(
If you wonder why I never use "olandês", that's because if we talk about the people we call "olandêses" we mean the people from the provinces of North Holland and South Holland. I have my pride :)))
And watching Portuguese TV, but they should put the inventor of geoblocking in jail. Sometimes I can watch RTP on the inthernet other times I can't. RTP on Demand is no problem though.
I now watch every day an episode of Hotel 5 Estrelas, but that's quite different Portuguese than the Portuguese I hear in the news.
It's easier to follow the news than to follow Hotel 5 Estrelas. Is the Portuguese in Hotel 5 Estrelas from a certain area in PORTUGAL and linked to a dialect? Tenho muitos problemas para entender ::)
SMAP are you Portuguese or German?
Minha ex-namorada came from Porto, she said the southerners have an accent. ;D
I live now in a zone with very heavy industries, when I was in Porto with my girlfriend, she noticed the farther away we were from Porto, my chronic cough got less.
I still remember that. That's also a reason to move to PORTUGAL.
I have Belgian friends that lived in PORTUGAL, so my first holiday in PORTUGAL was a free one ;).
They still have the house there, but it's so the middle of nowhere there it wouldn't be a place for me to live: Castelo Novo.
But I did encounter the daily life there, Portuguese life style. I know a lot of villagers went to the cafe, but I don't remember if that was during the work break or after work. I visited the neighbours (5 kms away hidden in the forest) together with my Belgian friends. That was also my first encounter with bacalhau Portuguese style.
This was of course a rural place, I have no idea how this goes in the bigger cities.
I can take the disability payment with me to PORTUGAL. It's hardly enough to survive in The Netherlands, but enough to survive in PORTUGAL.
Hi
The truth is only one, the best part of PORTUGAL to live is in the North:
Best landscapes
Best food
Best hospital - Coímbra "Hospitais da Universidade de Coímbra" (I also do a heart surgery and had to get myself an artificial mitral valve) I have to take warfarin which prevents me from getting too far away from a good hospital, because I have to do INR control, to have a good level of anticoagulation blood
The North has the best of everything, even the most beautiful girls
Best city to live is my town: - Guimarães - Cidade Berço ;) ;)

@ Castelar I am a bit late but obrigado para o (a?) informação, you sent lately
Here in the Netherlands if you want to see which telecom provider delivers in your area, you can just enter your postcode on a comparision site and you'll get all the ones available for your postcode.
I have been looking for something similar in PORTUGAL, but I can't find one.
Here in the Netherlands I have a complete package that contains internet (20MB/s) + fixed telephone line + TV
I used to have cable (But the cable company has a monopoly in my province, they're expensive, their employees are rude and their service sucks) so I kicked them out :>S
Now everything comes in via my phone line (VDSL) and I am satisfied. Internet bit slower than cable, but I can live with it.
Second why do advertizers hardly ever provide the address of the house for rent/for sale (then I can have a look in Google Street View)
Privacy would be a bit silly if you want to sell/let and you don't say where it is and locals will recognize it anyway
BTW are there any better sites than olx.pt to find houses (lettings)? Preferrably with addresses mentioned.
Boa tarde ;D
Ainda vivo. Ë um bom sinal, não é?
And now the portuguese will be too complicated, so I will continue in English
Now I can't find an LPG converted SAAB 9000 here (here=The Netherlands) and automatic for a reasonable price.
So it could well be another make. Think about V70 classic or Mercedes E-class combi (W210 for the insiders).
That will of course not mean I won't spend a few holidays in PORTUGAL in the near future before I definately move there.
I still keep having a warm heart for SAAB, so my question is. Am I still welcome with (most probably) a Mercedes E-class or Volvo V70 on one of your SAAB meetings in PORTUGAL O:-)

I probably will be in Sweeden with a hot sweedish girl - Provavelmente estarei na Suécia com uma sueca boa.
The most probably is that smap likes guys - O mais provável é que o smap goste de homens.

Definitely, not probably, TesZero only says crap, so don't pay to much attention to what he says :P
i grew up nowing ...
maybe a vascular disease... you had a serious operation becoming a shemale...
Ok... ok... ok.... lets talk about saabs, mercedes, volvos, or something else :P
Typical, that the only alternative for SAAB drivers is a Volvo. DOT...END...

If you want to have a car in PORTUGAL, don't buy one in the Netherlands, the cost to legalize it in PORTUGAL is way to expensive and the yearly tax to you will end up paying is equal to a new car.
Yearly Tax examples
Portuguese 9000 (2.0 or 2.3) till 1995 - ~70€
Portuguese 9000 (2.0 or 2.3) from 1996 on - ~140€
Portuguese 9000 (3.0 V6) till 1995 - ~140€
Portuguese 9000 (3.0 V6) from 1996 on - ~255€
Dutch 9000 legalized in PORTUGAL (2.0 or 2.3) any year - ~350€
Dutch 9000 legalized in PORTUGAL (3.0 V6) any year - ~800€
On the Northern part of PORTUGAL they normally tend to change the "B" by the "V" when talking....
I was just looking at the new ISV table for 2015. Did the Portuguese government recently found the screw back they lost?
The percentages for reduction by the aging of the vehicle now look much more realistic.
However I did not do a simulation yet for a 20 year old 9000.
So I don't know if it would make a big difference compared to the old ISV table?
