Well... i dont think that you have "bad areas" in Coimbra or even near by :P lolol

You must be carefull in some parts of Porto and Lisboa... and even there... (i live in Porto)... you dont need to look over your shoulder :P

Yes... like all countrys we have some criminal activity... but not like poland ou england... not even close to it...

Come, relax, and enjoy PORTUGAL :D

Choose a place that you like and... move :)

Obrigado, eu sei suficiente agora :D

Coelhinho.
Do you know the twenty largest (and many others) portuguese companies are estabelished and pay taxes in Netherlands?

So I think it´s unfair when you say your money are in PORTUGAL or even Greece because I can feel the same...

Best regards

And you think the lower class citizens will benefit from these taxes?
House rents are increased by 4% each year here and they are so expensive the government has to subsidize your rent if your annual income is below a certain amount (and mine is). However these subsidies lower every year by 7%, so one day noone can't pay his house anymore if the rent goes up by 4% each year.
Our government rather plays Santa Claus in Ukraine to play war. :>S Enough said. :|| :||

Why do you think I want to move to PORTUGAL?

TesZero

After all... PORTUGAL is not so bad :P :P :P :P

I left France to live in PORTUGAL because I trusted in the potential of this country but believe me I work hard every day.
It´s a small country with sun and sea. Full of colors, smells and flavors, so diverse and with a very welcoming people.

I think it is a good choice. O0

By the way: Levels of crime are very low when compared with most European countries in any region.

According to accuweather it is now 23 degrees in Coimbra, but there are as aguaceiros glaciais.
We don't manage to have ice at temperatures like that lol

Boas à tudos  :D

Ainda vivo  :P

I was just looking at the new ISV table for 2015. Did the Portuguese government recently found the screw back they lost?

The percentages for reduction by the aging of the vehicle now look much more realistic.
However I did not do a simulation yet for a 20 year old 9000.
So I don't know if it would make a big difference compared to the old ISV table?

And why is it changed? The Portuguese government got spanked by the European Commission?

Boa tarde

Hi Daniël

The values are still not define, they were propose but still not voted. In the end I think that they will end up not changing the ISV and stick with the previous percentages

Preciso uma tradução, duas traducões actualmente ;)

Como eu digo:

1. That is not your business (mind your own).

2. (I hope this is not read by people) who have no business with this.

Muito obrigado

1 -  Este não é o teu negócio. ( preocupa-te com o teu próprio)

2-  ( espero que isto não seja lido por pessoas) que não tenham nada a haver com o negócio

Boa tarde à tudos.
Sim, eu estou aqui novamente  :)
E não, eu não ainda posso falar português suficiente so I will continue in English  :D

And again it has nothing do with cars, but the emigration forums (in Dutch) simply won't have the answer to that. So I will try here

But I noticed you can buy forests/woods in PORTUGAL for relatively little money (compared to The Netherlands)
Now I have one big question: WHY should I buy a forest? And is there a way to make it profitable?
Don't say cut the trees and sell the wood to fireplace owners. That's not what I have in mind.

Can you also let it to someone? How does it work with rental contracts and (professional) insurances (like if you open it to public and someone gets a tree on his head? oops)

What can I do with a Eucalyptus forest?
