SAABsPORTUGAL
SAABsPORTUGAL is a community of SAAB enthusiasts that was born from the necessity of having in PORTUGAL a stable platform and open to everyone, with the aim of promoting mutual aid among vehicles owners of the brand. Created on 25 October 2012 has evolved continuously since then.
We are not a club as we have not, at present, the claims to be. All information/documentation that we have is shared for free.
The principles of this community are based on pluralism and freedom of opinion of all its members, being that visible in the participation of all in decision-making concerning the evolution and direction of it, pleasing and motivating thus a greater number of people possible.
Website and Forum
The Website is where we provide information/documentation and also some tools. The Forum itself is also available through our website.
Currently we provide the following:
The Forum is the indicated platform to contain technical information, thus reaching all SAAB owners of vehicles regardless of their geographical location.
It's in constant update providing till now:
- Organized and moderated structure,
- Dedicated zone for vehicle and owner presentation,
- Polls for improvement or change of the community,
- Areas for leisure and entertainment,
- Section for information gathering and doubts about general mechanics,
- Section for information gathering and doubts about specific SAAB vehicles,
- Free advertisment for vehicles SAAB, SAAB parts and others,
- Section for community meetings organization,
- Privat Chat between members (need to be online on the forum),
- Own hosting for photos or documents without limit of space on our server. Thus it is safeguarded information is never lost,
- New updated page about the community and brand SAAB,
- Database daily backups as well as all the information on the server (images, documents).
It's open to the public so even those who are not registered may check information. However, those who are not registered can not see the photos and hyperlinks posted in threads, as well they will not have access to the search engine. These measures aim to encourage registration, presentation and interaction among members.
Social Networks
Social Networks are a great way to disclose/share SAABsPORTUGAL existence, so that more people will join our community. Social Networks are hosted in infrastructures not fully controlled/managed by SAABsPORTUGAL, this way is not at all advisable to use them as a repository of technical information, for that exists the Website/Forum.
