  • Boa tarde  ;D
Ainda vivo. Ë um bom sinal, não é?

And now the portuguese will be too complicated, so I will continue in English
Now I can't find an LPG converted Saab 9000 here (here=The Netherlands) and automatic for a reasonable price.
So it could well be another make. Think about V70 classic or Mercedes E-class combi (W210 for the insiders).
That will of course not mean I won't spend a few holidays in PORTUGAL in the near future before I definately move there.
I still keep having a warm heart for Saab, so my question is. Am I still welcome with (most probably) a Mercedes E-class or Volvo V70 on one of your Saab meetings in PORTUGAL  O:-)

Most Probably - "provavelmente" or "mais provável"

I probably will be in Sweeden with a hot sweedish girl - Provavelmente estarei na Suécia com uma sueca boa.
The most probably is that smap likes guys - O mais provável é que o smap goste de homens.

    :P

Nice to ear about you :)
Come, you will be very wellcome :)

Hope you find a lpg Saab, so you can choose it :P :P :P :P

If you want to have a car in PORTUGAL, don't buy one in the Netherlands, the cost to legalize it in PORTUGAL is way to expensive and the yearly tax to you will end up paying is equal to a new car.

    Yearly Tax examples
    Portuguese 9000 (2.0 or 2.3) till 1995 - ~70€
    Portuguese 9000 (2.0 or 2.3) from 1996 on - ~140€
    Portuguese 9000 (3.0 V6) till 1995 - ~140€
    Portuguese 9000 (3.0 V6) from 1996 on - ~255€
    Dutch 9000 legalized in PORTUGAL (2.0 or 2.3) any year - ~350€
    Dutch 9000 legalized in PORTUGAL (3.0 V6) any year - ~800€

  • Hello Daniël ( aka Knientje = O Coelhinho )  ;)
I´ve been Reading all the 4 pages of your topic until now. That´s a Great story to follow up. I hope all is well with your health.

I have to agree with SMAP in the subject of buying a car. I think it will be a lot more cheap to buy here an used one than for buying in the Netherlands and legalize it here. Please do the math... we are here to help you in your choice.

As for regions to live and considering your condition and habits, the North/Center of PORTUGAL is the way to go ( my opinion... ) I live in Lisbon, I love Lisbon ( 100% "Alfacinha" as SMAP ) but i have familly all over PORTUGAL... i grew up nowing the diferences in regions and their quality´s. And as you already choosed the northen/center part of the country, you will be able to see the friendship of the northen people first hand!

Oh, another word for fence is "vedação". SMAP said "cerca" and that´s ok, but you can also use "vedação" .
The "problem" with latin based languages is they have a lot more words to use for the same English translated word!  ??? Sometimes gets messy... but it´s understandable.

As other people said, please feel free to ask questions.... we will try to help you.
I´ll let my post written in Portuguese bellow so you can compare words and sentences that way...

    Cheers...

    Felicidades ...
